Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters scholarships are offered to Partner country applicants (PaC) and to Programme country applicants (PrC).
Are you “PaC” or “PrC” scholarship applicant?
Students with a double nationality (of a Partner and of a Programme Country) must specify their nationality under which they submit their scholarship application.
Available scholarships: EMJM Student scholarships
Scholarships are open to higher education students from all over the world.
Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters scholarships will be offered to the most appropriate candidates according to: the selection ranking AND the nationality rules set by the European Agency.
Candidates should be fully aware of the financial costs of the programme, as at the time of the application there is no guarantee that they will be awarded an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters scholarship.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates can apply for an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters scholarship under the Erasmus+ Key Action 2 programme (EMJM) of their choice but :
- Students who have already obtained an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) scholarship or are former Erasmus Mundus Master/Doctoral Course scholarship holders are not eligible for an additional scholarship under the EMJM.
- Students benefiting from an EMJM scholarship cannot benefit from another EU grant while pursuing their EMJM studies.
- EMJM student’s scholarships are awarded exclusively for a full-time enrolment in one of the course editions.
- Geographical balance: no more than 10% of the total number of scholarships awarded during the programme’s implementation may be awarded to candidates of the same nationality.
- Scholarship holders spending part of the EMJM course in their country of residence are not entitled to benefit from the monthly subsistence allowance for this period.
Partner country EMJM Student Scholarship
Eligible candidate:
Any third country candidate who is not listed in the Programme country category.
Amount:
The amount of money awarded to Partner country EMJM scholarship recipients will be:
- Monthly allowance: 1,400€/month
- In addition, the Scholarship includes a contribution to the EMJM participation costs, i.e. 4,500€/year corresponding to the mandatory contribution to the TFMASA tuition fees and insurance coverage
Programme country EMJM Student Scholarship
Eligible candidate:
- Students whose citizenship is one of the 27 EU Member States: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, Bulgaria, Malta, Poland, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, and Croatia.
- Students whose citizenship is one of the following countries: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, North Macedonia, Republic of Serbia, and Republic of Türkiye.
Amount:
The amount of money awarded to Programme country EMJM scholarship recipients will be:
- Monthly allowance: 1,400€/month
- In addition, the Scholarship includes a contribution to the EMJM participation costs, i.e. 4,500€/year corresponding to the mandatory contribution to the TFMASA tuition fees and insurance coverage
What does the scholarship cover?
Your monthly allowance is intended to cover all living expenses, including accommodation, travel to and from your country of residence at the start of each academic semester, and daily costs such as books and stationery, food and local travel expenses.
Participation costs are paid directly to the TFMASA Coordination Office. These funds cover tuition fees at each partner university, contribute to the coordination and management of the programme, and support joint activities.

2nd semester (UCLouvain):
Erasmus+ scholarship for studies:
All students may apply to University of Bordeaux for Erasmus+ funding to contribute to their living costs in their Louvain semester (current scholarship rate: 520 EUR/month). This does not exclude other non-EU funding opportunities.
Eiffel Excellence Scholarship:
For the second year of the program, students may apply for Eiffel Excellence Scholarship.

3rd semester (BTU):
Erasmus+ scholarship for studies:
All students may apply to University of Bordeaux for Erasmus+ funding to contribute to their living costs in their BTU semester in Germany. (current scholarship rate: 520 EUR/month). This does not exclude other non-EU funding opportunities.
4th semester (internship):
Erasmus+ scholarship for internship:
All students may even apply to University of Bordeaux for a 2-3 months Erasmus+ scholarship for their internship (570-620 EUR/month depending on the country). Please consider that the maximum length of Erasmus+ funded period is altogether 12 months (per study cycle [BSc, MSc, PhD]).
